ABOUT JFF

Vision

A financially resilient nation where every individual has equal opportunity to thrive

Mission

To equip the people who families trust with the confidence, knowledge and inspiration to educate the next generation and build financially capable communities.

Our Approach

Research shows that children start to learn essential money habits as early as ages 3 through 7. However, financial education is rarely taught until secondary school. This means that gaps in a child’s ability to understand and relate to money are already in place by their teenage years.

We work directly with schools, families and communities to address these gaps and give every child an equal baseline understanding of money, regardless of their personal circumstances. This provides the essential foundation children need to become adults with the knowledge, skills and values to manage money wisely.

We know that money lessons are most powerful coming from the people that children trust – that is why we choose to upskill teachers and community leaders to deliver these vital skills and to embed them in school curriculums. We provide free training and tools to equip teachers with the confidence to deliver financial education in an impactful and sustainable way. We have created a unique, values-based approach to financial education because building people of character is as important as developing practical skills when learning what to do with money.

We’re also working to increase the reach and impact of financial education in the wider community. Our programmes are built to address gaps and up-skill local leaders, broadening the knowledge of community members on financial issues and the support that is available for those in need.
