Throughout summer and in the run up to harvest, churches across England have been raising money for the Just Finance Foundation through the Archbishop of Canterbury’s Mustard Seed Appeal. Now, to add to that great work, we have some exciting news!
We are delighted to announce that Lichfield Diocese is now selling Bishops Blend coffee to raise money for the Just Finance Foundation!
The Bishop of Lichfield, Michael Ipgrave, has organised the release of Bishops Blend Coffee. This coffee is both Fairtrade and has been produced by Wolverhampton based Revolver World Coffee. For every bag bought 50p will be donated to the work of the Just Finance Foundation.
The coffee was released at the Bishop Michael’s Diocesan Study Day on 5th October where the theme for the day was “God and the money lenders”.
The coffee can be bought online by churches or diocese and, more importantly, we’ve tried it and we can confirm it’s good. Very good.
Here’s what Bishop Michael has said about the money that will be raised, “This will provide hands-on support to help people manage their money better and to access responsible sources of credit. So, you will not only be enjoying a delicious cup of coffee, you will also be giving practical help to those coping with challenging financial situations.”
